Malay Toastmasters Club

Kelab Pidato Kuala Lumpur or KPKL is a Malay public speaking club registered with Toastmasters International which is headquartered in the United States. 

On 08 Sep 2011, KPKL held an open house (Malaysian custom) to celebrate Eid or known in Malaysia as Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Eid is a Muslim festival to celebrate the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. The first day of Eid is the first day of the month of Syawal. 

The function is held in the exhibition hall of Extol Corporation

in the off-the-cuff speaking contest called "Pertandingan Ucapan Spontan Raya".
She receives a certificate from KPKL and a prize sponsored by Universiti Putra Malaysia
from club president Dato' Prof Dr Wan Zin.

in the off-the-cuff speaking contest called "Pertandingan Ucapan Spontan Raya".

Dinner consists of chicken rendang (spicy chicken),
nasi himpit (pressed rice), lemang (rice cooked in bamboo),
satay (Malaysian kebab), assorted biscuits and fruits.

Mr Abu Bakar Ngah, a manager with IBM Malaysia, is the organizer cum emcee 
of the off-the-cuff speaking contest called "Pertandingan Ucapan Spontan Raya".
 He is an eloquent speaker and excellent organizer with brilliant ideas.

Mr Hakim Hamzah, a Chief Financial Controller, is the speech evaluator
for the speakers in the off-the-cuff speaking contest.
He gives a polished performance which includes singing jingles and reciting poems.
The audience is thrilled to bits by his eloquence and versatility.
